For my cause and effect essay I will be focusing on the effect that television/movies have had on society. I will be talk about how the gender roles in movies/ the appearance of actors have an affect on peoples image, and how it has changed what is acceptable in our everyday life.

There are a lot of interesting and viable ideas mentioned here. It does seem that you're talking about a broad range of topics in the same vein, so just be sure to focus your ideas in the essay. Are you interested in the cause/effect of roles actors portrayed in films on society (young people, women, etc), or the cause/effect of the way actors look?
